About the event
In this class you will be using underglaze and a carving technique known as "sgraffito" to decorate your own plate! All ages and skill levels are welcome. We will be using white stoneware clay with your choice of underglaze color in this one day course. You will not be able to take your piece home the same day. Your piece will need time to dry, be fired, covered in a clear food safe coating, and fired again after your departure (1.5-2 weeks). Shipping options available for an extra fee. Class will be held in the Oxford Clay Center behind Needs Pottery. Parking available in alley. All ages and skill levels welcome.
